Orgel / organ

("Du, meine Seele, singe" - you, my soul shall sing)

This work is painted for the church community of Nordheim, a village in Franken/South Germany. A portrait of the baroque organ in the main church. I've taken so much of the details of organ, as I needed for my image idea: some organ pipes of course - enough to indicate the instrument, but not too many (organ pipes are in an organ image now not the most original idea...). Much of the thread (something quite "very own" of * this * organ), without it may strike at first: I've taken both sides of wing (in the literal sense) with the baroque carvings and in the background the upper half each other / one another "woven" in vivid arabesques similar to a Bach fugue. The notes below * are * excerpts from Bach's manuscripts (but of course not, "Du, meine Seele..." - that would be purely temporary not possible ...). The motto that I had found in the meeting with the client, I have used quite central, said "YOU" a second time in the background of the upper part appears to indicate that in church music "you" are indeed two -directions on the one hand, the "bigger you" as addressed to God praise and secondly the Annunciation in the music that speaks to the soul of man. What I liked is a circular stucco element above the organ that acts like a halo almost and I recorded restrained in the upper part of the image (cautious, because Protestantism's not so pronounced "saint" aims).
